Steadyrack Bike Rack Review

Ever hear the phrase “ Moving house ” and someone actually being excited about all the work that’s involved? Well for my family things were a little different and more complicated.  We decided to move from the USA  - California to The Gold Coast Australia. We purchased a beautiful home and really wanted to start off on the right foot and unpack in an organized state. I think everyone would agree, no matter if you have a two or three car garage, there is never enough space, especially for a bike enthusiasts like me or a growing active family who simply just loves bikes.

In our home in California, we only had a two car garage, we hung 6 bikes flat against the wall in a horizontal manner, although it was great to have them off the floor, this took away a large part of not only the garage space because they hung out and in the way, but it took up the entire wall which left no room for hanging anything else. When we found our little dream home in Australia, the interior was for us what you call turn key, but our little 2 car garage definitely needed a little face lift. I now work as an ambassador for Intense bikes Australia which would require me to have more then just mine and my families bikes on hand so a practical bike storage solution was key. We gave the garage a fresh coat of paint, measured the walls and found storage cabinets and a workbench space we thought could work, then I went on the hunt for some space saving, easy to install bicycle storage.

I came across Steadyracks. An Australia bicycle storage company based on WA, that covers all bikes and all sizes. Steadyracks come in a slim line box and easy to read and basic step by step instructions for a seamless installation. I ordered 6 steady racks for my garage. My wife and I both have road bikes, so we got 2 classic racks for those, We have 2 mtn bikes, 1 E bike and 1 beach cruiser, so for those I order 2 mtn bike racks and 2 fender racks. This hold the bicycles in a sturdy position, easy for my wife or myself to take the bikes down and put back up when we are done with them.

The swivel technology allows us to then move the bikes from left to right very easily, basically stacking them together without them touching or being damaged. The front wheels are held securely by the main steady rack which is easily mounted to the stud in the wall. The rear wheel is then held in position by a little plate that you mount below which allows to you hang the bike and move it side to side without and damage to your walls. In our situation there will be times some of our intense bicycles will be gone at demo events so we will have a few empty racks at home. Steadyrack also make is easy to fold against the wall flat so they are out of the way when they aren’t being used with there slim line design barely coming off the wall 10cm when pressed flat.

Maximizing space is the best

After having our steady racks for a couple of weeks, we have already purchased more for our sons mountain bikes, seeing how easy they are to use, they are able to at age 10 and 8, take down and re hang their bikes again on their own. After all my research and now trying the product myself, there really isn’t anything else out there that can compare and tick all the easy storage saving solutions Steadyracks Australia does. Enoy!
