The Serenity Pump Track

California is known as one of the places that action sports thrives from, BUT the State and City’s can rarely get it’s act together to have a public BMX, or Skate Park that is worth a crap.

Lake Elsinore isn’t known for its rich heritage in Skate or BMX but they have just shocked the surrounding cities of Temecula, Menifee, and Murrieta by putting in a very impressive Pump Track, Skate Park , and Dog park. I live about 15 minutes from the Serenity Pump track and skate park and had no idea that there was a plan for one or that one was in place. I believe the park just opened up in the beginning of May and let me just say I commend you the City of Lake Elsinore!

The skate park has been there for a little bit now and it’s a very simple but effective park with some rails, concrete banks a small pool, and ledges. The BMX/Pump track is all new and I’m very impressed having built multiple dirt pump tracks. This particular pump track at Serenity park is built from dirt then capped with pavement. The crew did an amazing job with the lay out having multiple options for not only bikes, but skaters and scooters can enjoy it also. Yes Skaters, Scooters and BMX riders can get along. The core BMX dudes get bummed on pavement but lets be honest dirt sucks! You have to water it, sweep it and when it rains you are pumping water out of it.

I brought my two boys Mason 6 and Noah 4 to the pump track toady and they had an absolute blast! Mason rides my dirt pump track pretty well but what bites him is the dirt when it dry’s out. He will push the front end and eat it. Noah who is 4 has enough of the eating it and was skeptacle of riding this pump track but because when he stops on this track and wants to get going he won’t slip on the soil so he even had a blast after a little bit of convincing that he would have a good time.

Sooooo if you live near Lake Elsinore and you want to get a good grin and workout head over to Serenity Park. It’s open to the public you ride at your own risk and there is something for everyone to have fun.
